Limit reached

A Rockslab limit stopped the request before anything started — servers, clusters, accounts, members or agent tokens. Nothing was half-done.

What you saw

A button or a call refused with a sentence like Servers: 8 used of 10, this adds 6, ending with the way on: a larger plan, or Ask for more…. From the API, the same as one line:

limit: code=infra.servers used=8 limit=10 adding=6 next=billing

What to do

  1. 1

    Ask for less

Fewer machines, a lower autoscaling ceiling, one cluster instead of two. An autoscaled pool counts at its ceiling, so a generous ceiling is often the culprit.

  2. 2

    Or free something up

Remove what you no longer need — removing is never refused. A cluster on a schedule keeps its machines counted while it is down, for the way back up.

  3. 3

    Or ask for more

Billing & plan › Usage & limits, Ask for more… beside the limit. Or a larger plan, when the sentence says one carries more.
